Britni & Karl in Liberty, MO

Britni & Karl in Liberty, MO

Location: Crazy Harry's Fireworks, Liberty, MO
Single stems can make a dramatic statement. Britni and Karl gave their centerpieces a firework-worthy style by placing a few gerbera daisies in colorful glass vases.
The favors were sparklers, snappers, firework glasses, good luck I-Ching coins, and party poppers labeled “b+k” in their many wedding colors.
The vows were inspired by Dr. Seuss‘ Green Eggs and Ham. “Our reverend told us that people frequently wanted to use it but always chickened out because they were afraid their parents and family wouldn‘t like it,” Britni says. “That just motivated us more.” In a declaration of both their love for one another and their lighthearted personalities, Karl and Britni repeated vows including, “I will love you on the sea, I will love you in a tree, I will love you here and there, I will love you anywhere.”
Britni‘s bouquet included gerbera daisies, freesia, and roses spilling over in pyrotechnic hues of orange, red, yellow, pink, purple, and green.
A four-tiered white cake was topped with a spray of colorful flowers like those in Britni‘s bouquet.
The reception was held under a tent dotted with purple and red lanterns. Fireworks and Chinese symbols continued to play important roles.
A huge fireworks display ended the festivities with a bang, setting the tone for a marriage with even more fireworks!
Karl Eggers knew what was happening when he felt fireworks for Britni Boggess.

The Bride Britni Boggess, 24
The Groom Karl Eggers, 26
The Date May 21

The two met in the fall of 2000 at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, and after only a few weeks of dating, he confided to a friend that he wanted to marry his fellow graphic designer (and Dr. Seuss fan). One evening at her mother's house a few years later, Karl professed his love and presented Britni with a ring he'd designed himself.
